    The diet said i could drink cranberry juice. Is it the store bought kind that i can use, like ocean-spray?

    Hi,
    I’ve never seen cranberry juice listed. Be careful you only drink fruit juice on the days you’re allowed to eat fruit and I”d only drink a glass or so as it’s high calorie. Cranberry cocktail does have a lot of sugar so perhaps you should dilute it.

    My husband and I are on day 4 of the diet… neither of us can tolerate dairy. Is there a non dairy substitute for skim milk? Would soy or rice milk work? If so which is better???

    Hi Joy,
    I don’t know. I’ve never heard anything. I do know vegetarians simply substitute protein for what they can have on the protein day so I’m assuming the same would be true for anyone who can’t have dairy. I’d simply substitute it with whatever you normally use in place of milk.
    How’s it going so far?

    @Shell786,
    Day 3 is soup, fruit, and vegetables.

    Banana day is Day 4 and yes, because it’s banana & milk day, you can make it into a smoothie. Don’t forget to eat soup on Day 4 as well.

    why cant you blend the soup? (carrots, onions, letttuce with a vegetable stock with tin tomatos) wont that work?… a bit bothered about eating all the bits much nicer in s smooth mix. At the moment i make my own soups and its going really well so was looking for a breakfast soup – this sounds good! it just has to be smooth!

      Sure, you can blend it. In fact, on the milk day I make a ‘cream’ of Sacred Heart soup and it makes for a nice change. I recommend various twists throughout the week to keep it from getting too boring. If you’re sticking to the ingredients list you can definitely mix it up a little. Eating the ingredients raw as a salad is another alternative (without making it swim in salad dressing of course) You can also use them for a bit of a stir fry on the say you’re eating the brown rice. At least all this is what I do when I do the plan.
      Good luck!

    I am currently on Day 1 and very excited about the potential results. I hate milk and cannot tolerate it. Any suggestions on substituting the skim milk on Day 4?

      Good luck, Tiffanie,
      Maybe try a calcium fortified juice or milk substitute such as almond milk?
      Have a great week!
