On days during the Sacred Heart Diet when you can have vegetables, it might not hurt to have a few sweet potatoes. While the tasty vegetable doens’t look like much when it’s raw, it sure can satisfy your sweet tooth and help you mix the diet up a bit. Those who are on their first round of the Sacred Heart detox diet should typically stick very close to the original menu but a few adaptations (careful ones) in future cycles can help you continue to get results and satisfy your cravings.

Sweet Potatoes are extremely healthy and you can add them to your soup as well as to stir fry dishes.  Why not make some baked sweet potato fries as well?

Try spritzing them with a little bit of Pam cooking spray, cutting them into french fry-sized bites (or crinkles) and spreading them into a single layer. Baking with some spices ( pepper, paprika, and seasoning salt works nicely)

Bake at about 425 for 20-30 minutes, flipping half way through. Keep an eye on them.

Tip: If you’re cooking them on a protein day, you can dip them in egg whites to increase the crispiness.
